My new Opteka fisheye lens for Nikon D70

Instead of buying the "bags of crap", I saved and bought a new lens add on.

My Nikon D70s and lenses

I bought a few new lenses instead

I was supposed to purchase a few “sacks of crap” so I could do a video review on them. As I said, a “sack of crap” is a mystery sell off that an internet company will sell, and basically it is a bag with items that just did not sell or with damaged packaging, and are sold off to clear the shelves for new stock. I decided that I would not buy them and put the money towards a new lens for my camera. So I purchased a few add on lenses and will post a review in my next posting.

This is a sculpture that I made 6 or 7 years ago, if not more. It was made from shredded and pulped paper and mixed with cement as an artistic experiment. The sculpture was hung up on the garden wall and exposed to the Irish weather. After about 5 years, some of the pulped paper started to delineate and the sculpture became a habitat and food for insects. One day I was in the garden and I foolishly started to mess with the sculpture and like an eejit, I dropped it and unfortunately brock the fekin thing, so the sculpture became no more. I might make another sculpture, using the same materials and maybe add some organic matter like leave and grass. It would be interesting to see how it changes, as the material starts to breakdown and decompose.
That a future project that I consider.

Sack of Crap

OK, I have ordered two £5 bags of craps and one £15 from http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk I should have them for next week so I can do some unboxing video reviews on my blog. For anyone out there that doesn’t know what a “bag of crap” or “sack of crap” is, well it is a mystery sell off and you buy a bag of crap which may have a good product in it, mixed with end of line and items that just did not sell. You may get something good or maybe something you just don’t want or need. There is also a chance you will get something other than crap, maybe an MP3 player or Internet table.
It is a way for companies to sell off old stock so they can clear there shelves for there new line of goods.
Also, it will mean that I will lay of the poetry for a while.
I have written a new poem called "the Lawn" but I am still working on it. I did finish the poem but I am trying to rewrite it at the moment, which is taking a long time.

OK this is my first version of the new poem. It is unfinished, but it reads very well, especeally if read in a stong Donegal accent.

By A.M.Donaghey
Heavenly scented summer breeze, grassy carpet of outdoor pleasure.
Daisy chains, dandelions and camomile, colours stipple through a vale of green.
Blades of grass with seed and flower heads, dancing in the wind.
The sounds of singing birds, buzzing bees and insects on the wing.
Almost dream like in this drenched warmth of light, as past memories flash by.
Of drowsy days of lemonade and taste of fresh cut sandwiches that tantalise the tongue.
